Support Turtle River Trails by Using Co-op #26444
Dauphin Co-op is proud to introduce a new way for members and shoppers to give back to the community while doing their everyday shopping. A special charity Co-op number for Turtle River Trails is now available for shoppers to use when making purchases at any Co-op location in Dauphin or Ste Rose.
When Co-op #26444 is entered at the checkout, the equity earned on the purchase will go towards Turtle River Trails Phase Two. In 2023, Turtle River Trails was the recipient of $85,000 in Co-op Community Spaces funding. Now that Phase One, the Community Walking/Biking Trail system is completed, we are excited to assist in raising the funds needed to proceed with Phase Two which includes the Co-op Community Family Nature Trails, formerly the Ducks Unlimited Trails in Ste Rose. This is set to be completed in the summer of 2026.
“Thanks to generous support from the Co-op Community Spaces program, this area will soon feature a variety of enhancements aimed at making it more engaging, accessible, and family-friendly.
Planned upgrades include:
· New interactive and educational signage thanks to the Thomas Sill Foundation
· Comfortable benches and designated resting areas
· Several scenic lookout hills perfect for nature viewing
· An interactive lookout tower offering panoramic views
· Natural wooden bridges and fun obstacle features that allow visitors to cross swamps and explore the
diverse flora and fauna of this vibrant bird habitat
This rejuvenation project will create an inviting, educational, and inclusive outdoor experience for families, nature lovers, and visitors of all ages. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue building a space where community and nature meet!
We are incredibly honored to be the lucky recipients of the Co-op Community Spaces funding! This shows Ste Rose just how community-oriented Co-op always is!” said Marie Sorlie, Recreation Director,Municipality of Ste Rose and RM of Lakeshore.
We are in full support of this venture for the residents and visitors of Ste Rose. We thank the volunteer members of the committee and those taking the lead to make it a reality for their dedication and hard work. We know that this venture will be an incredible asset to our community.
“This is an easy way for our members and shoppers to make a difference,” said Joan Chetyrbok, Marketing / Community Relations Manager. “Every time you shop with the charity Co-op #26444, you’re not just buying groceries, fuel, or supplies – you are giving back to an organization that makes a real impact locally.”
