Dauphin Co-op Donates $1,000 to Dauphin Rail Museum
Dauphin Co-op is pleased to announce $1,000 donation to the Dauphin Rail Museum in support of the historic Turntable Exhibit.
“This donation demonstrates Dauphin Co-op’s 87-year commitment to support projects that enrich the lives of our community through involvement and service. The installation of this exhibit in CN Park will be located just adjacent to CNR Place. This is the former Dauphin Rail Station which is both a Manitoba Historic Site and an Historic Railway Station of Canada, originally built in 1912 by Canadian Northern Railway and is affectionately known as “Manitoba’s Most Beautiful” former Rail Station.” said Jason Gilmore, President, Dauphin Rail Museum.
“At Dauphin Co-op, we believe in the power of history to inspire, educate, and connect us,” said Lorne Eiffert, Dauphin Co-op General Manager. “It is a privilege to support a project that preserves our shared heritage for future generations. This exhibit will provide visitors with new opportunities to learn our rich history and the important role rail transportation played in the growth and development of the Parkland area and beyond.”
This project keeps local history alive for future generations, creating a destination for education, storytelling, and community pride
