Brenda began her journey with Co-op on July 28, 1981, when she was asked to help at the Dauphin Co-op booth as a Baker’s Helper during Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival. At the time, Brenda planned to return to school to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. After the festival, Brenda was asked to stay on for the summer to help save for school, and so she decided to continue her journey with Co-op a little longer. What started as a summer opportunity quickly became the beginning of an amazing 45-year career.

Throughout the years, Brenda’s passion, dedication, and leadership have helped shape our Food Store to what it is today. From her early days in the Bakery, to becoming a skilled Cake Decorator, Bakery/Deli Supervisor, and eventually Deli Manager, Brenda has continued to lead with pride and excellence. Her leadership has helped the Deli team achieve incredible success.

What Brenda enjoys most about working at Co-op is the people. From teammates to members and community connections, the relationships she has built throughout her career have been one of the most rewarding parts of her journey. She also appreciates that there is always something new to learn and experience.
