Dauphin Consumers Co-op is hiring a Grocery Manager at our Food Store in Dauphin, MB.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Grocery Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the Grocery department including but not limited to:

· Provide leadership to the Grocery team, including goal setting, coaching and feedback, and performance reviews.

· Responsible for the talent management process including recruitment, selection, onboarding, mentorship, and continual development of grocery team members.

· Manage inventory levels, oversee ordering and product displays to ensure shelves are fully stocked and organized.

· Lead and manage the department’s budget, controlling costs and maximizing sales.

· Collaborate with Food Store Manager and other department management to plan and execute promotions, sales strategies, and seasonal displays.

· Oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards, safety, and asset protection.

· Responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions. Oversee and monitor satisfaction levels, ensure customer issues are resolved, and identify areas for improvement.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and can demonstrate:

· A minimum of 3 years of relevant retail experience with 3-5 years of leadership experience. Co-operative Retail System experience is an asset.

· Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

· Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills that works well within a diverse, multigenerational team.

· Interpersonal skills to engage a team and create a positive culture within our team and customers.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.

· Comfort in working and learning new HR and Finance Technology.

· Knowledge of sales, gross margin and inventory management.

· Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong time-management and organizational skills.

· Believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
