What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Loss Prevention/Asset Protection Manager will oversee all aspects of asset protection, security, and loss prevention initiatives across Dauphin Co-op, ensuring the protection of Dauphin Co-op’s assets including its people, building, merchandise, brand, and information. This individual will develop, implement, and enforce strategies designed to reduce shrinkage, prevent theft, and ensure the safety of assets.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement comprehensive loss prevention strategies and programs.
• Conduct regular audits to identify vulnerabilities and potential theft risks.
• Analyze and report on loss prevention data, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
• Work closely with teams to ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Develop and lead investigations into internal and external theft, fraud, or misconduct.
• Train and educate on theft prevention techniques and company policies.
• Partner with local law enforcement and other security agencies when necessary.
• Monitor surveillance systems and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure a safe shopping and working environment for all customers and employees.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and loss prevention technologies.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail and have:
• Proven experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or security management (preferably in a retail environment).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends to reduce shrinkage.
• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance, and loss prevention technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others across departments.
• Experience with investigations and handling sensitive information.
• Any of the following Loss Prevention Designations would be an asset: CPP, CFI, CFE, LPQ, or LPC
